It depends on the age, gender, species and feeding schedule of the particular boa. Neonates will weigh between 20-30 grams at birth and a female boa can grow to lengths/weights of 14 feet/100 lbs. but each animal is unique and where one can weigh 100lbs, another would certainly be considered obese if it is significantly shorter at the same weight.

∙ 16y agoThe average cost of a red tail boa in a pet shop is anywhere from $130.00 to $150.00 never pay more than $150.00 for a red tail boa....the best place to get boas actually, is from local breeders...they normally sell theres for about $75...alot of times, boas that are breeded are more friendly... if you live in Massachusetts, and you want a red tail boa, write to me at poetalhent@Yahoo.com i happen to know a breeder that has very beautiful boas....almost every type of boa is available...

∙ 11y agoThere are different kinds of red tail boas out there. You can get a regular six footer for about $200-$400. Usually the bigger they are the cheaper you find them for. A lot of owners can't afford or have the space to keep it so they sell them dirt cheap.
