Hello, Jamison here, It is hard to say for sure, because we do not know how you got the term,BUT,,, in most cases,AUTHORISED,means that your insurance will PAY THAT DOCTOR, and NOT PAY A DOCTOR that is not authorised,,,,,DO NOT confuse that, they are not saying they will only pay REAL doctors, they are saying that they only pay the doctors they have a relationship with. The above poster is correct. At least in Canada some Health Insurance Companies in the past never recognized Chiropractors as authorized doctors and this goes for Holistic doctors (even though both have their degrees and are capable of their job.) More and more Canada is accepting new preventative ways to treat people with some health issues and it's basically been forced on them by society themselves. Holistic or Homeopathic doctors are meshing with traditional medical doctors for the betterment of the patients health (many people don't trust taking drugs because of so many drugs being pulled off the market by the FDA.) It has been proved that Chiropractic treatments IN SOME patients does work and now Canada does recognize them.

"P" stands for "patient". It means refills have been pre-authorized by the doctor and can be called in by the patient.
If recommended by a medical doctor and approved by your Commander, tennis shoes may be authorized.
Physician assistants can do many of the same tasks and tests as doctors. However, they are not authorized to write or fill prescriptions. Often, a doctor will oversee their work and diagnosis as well.
No; it is unlawful to test new drugs on humans without authorization.
If you "lose" a prescription of any narcotic pain medication, the doctor will not call for a refill. Your doctor's office would even provide you with the same information, that they, nor the doctor, is authorized to refill a narcotic prescription in the event that the prescription was lost or stolen, even if you have a police report, they will NOT refill that prescription until it is due again to be refilled.
