coccyx
The inferior end would refer to the top of the sacrum because inferior means situated above. ===== Actually, inferior would be the bottom end. Superior is the to end.
The end of the sacrum is your trail bone. I have fusions there.

Lumbar
There is only one vertebrae that is considered the axis and that is cervical vertebrae number 2 (C2). The axial skeleton is composed of the skull, facial bones, hyoid bone, the vertebrae, sacrum, and coccyx.

Sacrum
Vertebrae with several different parts such as: the cervical (at the top), the thoracic (after the cervical), then lumbar( after the thoracic) and to finish it up the coccyx/sacrum
You tend to think about the sacrum. But it is not the case. You have the tail bone or the coccyx. It is the most inferior bone in the vertebral column.
