beef is made from cows from 2 years or above it is a meat and the cow is then slaughtered and then is cut in to pieces to be sold to other people there is also veal which is a calf younger then 3 months and baby calf that is between the age of 3 month that is and 2 years they are taken to a slaughter house and then they shot the cow to stun them they then get there troughs cut and then are left to die but before the are fully dead they get all there limbs cut of and then the will get hang on a metal pole and they will died :( info from: goveg.com.au
