Arabian Facts
The Arabian horses have a beautiful and unique appearance. They are generally small in stature but readily recognized by their dished face and fine features. As they were bred in different parts of the world various breeds emerged including the Polish Arabian, the Shagya Arabian in Hungary, and the Egyptian Arabian. The Arabian blood contributed to the development of many other fine breeds as well, such as the Lipizzaner and the Thoroughbred, and it is still used to improve and refine other breeds.
In early times they were renowned for their incredible endurance and courage. Today Arabians are known for their "people-oriented" nature and loving disposition, which makes them great pleasure horses and pets. They are also known to be very intelligent. They are quick to learn and willing to please.

The characteristics that are very obvious to this generalization of the breed are a refined head set high on a long neck, wide forehead giving more space between the eyes, a dish in the face usually below the eyes, large nostrils to support their exceptional lung capacity, stronger yet lighter bones when compared to other horse breeds, a spine with less vertebrae giving a shorter back which is typically wider and stronger for carrying their riders, thinner hair-coats of the body with finer mane and tail hairs, the muzzle and eyes are typically hairless.
Of the Arabians the Straight Egyptian Arabian pedigree is said to be over 5000 years old, in fact, to register one has to be able to provide proof of lineage leading back on both sides to the original sires of around 1500BC. The most noble of the breed indeed.
ARABIAN HORSES R USUALLY KNOWN FOR THEIR ELEGANCE AND BEAUTY HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT VERY POPULAR FOR EVENTING e.c.t BECAUSE THEY CAN STRETCH A MUCSLE QUITE EASILY. THIS MEANS THEY CAN NOT BE RIDEN FOR SOME TIME AND CAN POSSIBLY NEED TO GO TO THE VET.IT DEPENDS HOW BAD IT IS.
An Arabian horse is small in stature with very fine bones, and a somewhat broad chest for its size. the mane and tail should be rather long and flowing, and the neck should be thin with a pronounced crest and arch. The ears should be well shaped and the face incredibly dished, with large wide-set eyes. the horse should carry its tail fairly high
The Arabian has a very unique look, starting at its head. Its eyes are set farther apart and it has a dished face with wide nostrils and slight points on the ears. The legs are long and thin with wide hooves (made for walking on sand). Its back is short and it holds its tail high in a gallop. A true Arab will have less pair of ribs than other breeds of horses. As far as attitude, they're known for being smart and witty. They love attention and can occasionally be pushy. They pick up habits easily and are hard to break of them. They are loyal and loving and are very willing/wanting to do as you say.
Horses are generally small-generally reaching between 14hh-15.1hh. Most Arabian horses can be easily identified by a dished face, a high-set tail, and a flat croup. Purebreds come in most solid colors, with the exception of dilute colors-dun, cremello, buckskin, palomino, and perlino. Pinto markings are also not found in purepreds, though roan, rabicano, and sabino genes have yeilded some more colorful Arabians.
As riding horses, Arabians are one of the most versatile breeds you will find. Though bred for endurance, they can excel in anything from dressage to driving. Many owners are trying to showcase the breed's versatility by showing them in disciplines that are not known to be very "Arabian friendly".
It depends on the strain. For instance, the Kuhaylan is built mostly for racing while the Saqlawi is built for anything, mostly dressage, because of its more feminine looks from the Kuhaylan.
They have one less vertebrae than all other horse breeds! The horse species has 16 vertebrae, but the arabian horse is the only horse with 15. I find that pretty interesting.
