Even though some of our Pacific Northwest coastal tribes are very small, they are some of the nicest people, best neighbors, and community supporters of all the Tribes I have known. They are well-organized in their Tribal endeavors, and manage to live in the 21st Century while preserving their heritage.Friendly, generous , and a pleasure to know. They are self-supporting and give all their people educational and employment opportunities to the best of their ability , and extend that generousity to their non-indigenous neighbors.

The Pacific Northwest also has magnificent scenery. Heartouchingly beautiful. Sport for almost everything you can think of. Fishing, camping , hunting , skiing, boating . Lively nightlife in the cities. Artists of every kind from musicians to glassworkers, including the Internationally acclaimed artist Dale Chilhuly, who has a Museum in Tacoma.Home to four major military installations .

Downtown Seattle home to Pioneer Park, the Space Needle , and the fish-throwing Pike Place Farmer's market you see on TV all the time. Home to Bill Gates and Micrsoft, and the Flagship Eddie Bauer store.

The Oregon coast also has beautiful beaches , and friendly open people. The scenery is fairly similar . And of course Mt. Rainier , Mt. Baker , and lots of other mountains as well, all with the same volcanic possibilities of Mt. St. Helens.Very temperate climate along the Coast. The rain is a small price to pay for all the stunning greenery.

Along with the dairies and local produce, the Northwest is becoming a great area for viniculture. The finer dining restaurants are world class.Boutique bakeries, pastisseries and chocolatiers are a nice addition to the world famous Sourdough bread varieties.

Washington state is also the locale of Forks , used as the home of the currently popular mythical vampires, and across Snoqualamie Pass , the little town of Roslynn, know to the world as Cicely, Alaska on TV from the formerly equally popular Nothern Exposure.

Want to know more. Come visit. All the things that made this a popular area for Native Tribes to settle in are still here and more. The salmon can even occasionally be seen swimming across a flooded street, and the berry brambles are everywhere. Small game abounds. The deer are small, but plentiful, and the coyotes small and timid. No venomous snakes West of the Pass.
