Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is the last prophet of Islam according to the Muslims. They must follow him in all matters of life. They must have firm faith in his teachings. His followers are called Muslims.
Answer: Muhammad said: "The Prophets are like the bricks in a magnificent building, and I am the last brick" The Prophets of God support each other. They foretold the coming of each other. They begin with Adam and end with Muhammad. They are all brothers, supporting each other in the cause. Google the topic: Muhammad in The Bible. You will find all the times that prophets spoke about the coming of Muhammad. Moses, David, Isaiah, Haggai and even Jesus ( in the Gospel of John ) tell of a great last prophet to come who will be from "Paran" and who will bring God's final message. Moses says, in Duteronomy 18:18 : "God will raise from among your bretheren ( i.e. the children of Ishmael ) a prophet like me ( like Moses ). And He will put His words in his mouth. . ." Jesus says: "I have told you many things, now, but I have not told you everything for you are not ready for it. But when the "Comforter" comes, he will bring you into the complete knowledge - and he will not speak from himself, but whatever he hears from the father - that shall he speak . . ." The "Comforter" in Greek is "paracletos". It was mistranslated. The original word must have been "Piracletos" which is a name. In Hebrew the name is Himda; in Arabic Ahmad - which is the short version of the name Muhammad. Read Muhammad in the Bible and see all the prohecies for yourself.
Historically, Muslims and Christians have fought over the 'Holy Land' - the land on the westernmost part of Asia and the easternmost part of the Mediterranean Sea - for centuries. In this sense, territorially, the two sides have always been historically on bad terms, causing thousands of deaths during various 'Crusades'.
As far as each sides's beliefs are concerned, the two religions are similar, if not identical in their beliefs in almost every facet except for one passage, which comes from the Quran's 112 sura (or chapter), verse 3, and from the bible's book of John, chapter 3, verse 16. In each of these passages, contradictory things are said. In the bible, the passage says that God has a child, but in the Quran, it is said that God never had, or begot a child. This is the fundamental difference between the two religions. Muslims believe that Jesus existed, but that he did so as a prophet, whereas Christians believe that he existed as God's only begotten son.
Phylogenetically, it is assumed that the religions of Islam and Christianity, evolved from different tribes of Israel. Which would make sense since they have such similar beliefs and are fighting over the same territory.
Personally, however, I have never had a bad encounter with a Muslim person... as far as I know. I have many friends who are Muslim and they are absolute models of their faith and its teachings. I think that most of the radical population, which is very small for both sides, is mostly limited to the Middle East, for Muslims, and the south, for Christians. However, as shown with this diagram:

there is such a small number that the media focuses on that people forget about the good things that each side brings to each others life.
muhammed was a trader. after he learned the word of god he spread it around. thus, Islam is the religion he learned and was passed on.
Muhammad was a merchant, married at age 25, but was unhappy. He went to live in the mountains and caves for a long time. When he was age 40, he first heard from God and started to preach his word, specifically that 'God is One'.
Originally people didn't care for his words, but in the end he managed to unite the fighting tribes around Mecca, his hometown. After he turned most of the Arabian Peninsula to Islam, he fell ill and died. There was a conflict as to who would be Muhammad's successor: Ali, his son-in-law/cousin, or one of the people Muhammad had already picked out...Shi'a Muslims follow Ali, who became an Imam (Muslim Priest), while Sunni Muslims followed the rightful successor Muhammad had chosen in the first place and Islamic leaders kept electing.
Muslims believe that Jesus (Isa in Arabic) was a great prophet and a Messiah who will have a second coming, but do not believe he should be worshipped as God.
mohammad is only the messenger of Allah like as other ex messengers like moses or Jesus Christ or noah sent down by Allah for their nations.
Never heard about any conflict between prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Muslims (his followers).
Muhammad is the founder of the religion known as Islam. According to Muslims (the believers), Muhammad received his revelation from God, and revealed what was later to become the Quran.
In Islam, Muhammad is considered the last prophet and messenger of Allah. He received revelations from Allah which form the basis of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Muslims believe that Muhammad conveyed Allah's message to humanity and served as a role model for how to live a righteous life according to the teachings of Islam.
