You'd need to post more information to get an accurate answer. As Winchesters are most interesting to collectors, condition is key to it's price. Modifications, refinishing and repairs actually hurt it's value. Google "Winchester 72" and check the on-line auctions. Compare yours with others of substantially the same year of manufacture, features, caliber and condition. You'll need to bookmark the auctions and go back later to see what the item actually sold for. There's often a substantial difference between the asking price and what the item brings in. Just because I'm asking $700, doesn't mean anybody's going to pay that for it. Check as many auctions as you can find to get a realistic figure.
I'll give you $300 for it.

Winchester has never made a model 39.Could be reffering to a Marlin model 39 lever action rifle in .22LR?
There was/is no such thing as a 1940's vintage Winchester lever-action .410. Winchester did make a slide-action (pump) .410 shotgun called the Model 42 during the 1940s.
15-150 usd
There were model 1887 lever action shotguns made by Winchester ( I have a 12 ga). These are worth in the range of $1200 to $5000 depending on condition. I am not aware of any Model 1886 Winchesters in a shotgun.
500 - 800 dollars
your rifle is worth between 350.oo and 600.00
Is this a trick question? I thought Marlin made the model 336. I didn't know Winchester made one.
About $700 if it is like-new condition.
1942 Winchester lever action 410 is a common gun. For this reason, it does not have a lot of value and is worth between $175-$300.
Between 250-410 dollars, depending on overall condition and a good bore.
