That has been kept a big secret as the new owners are going absolutely crazy with the people who have found the place.
Actually Haunting in Connecticut is nothing more then another good Horror movie and though it states it is based on a true story it is not a true story.
It was found out later that Carmen Snedeker and Al Snedeker had some mental and emotionally issues as well as marital issues. Al liked to drink hence a lot of physical and mental abuse on the family. And Carmen was into some illegal selling of lottery tickets or scamming of some sort on those lines to keep the family income coming in.
As far as the boy who had cancer no one ever really knew that for sure.
Supposedly he got violent due to his medications for the cancer, and was put into a psychiatric facility for a short period of time.
But there is a lot to this story that is questionable.
A lot!
It may of been a funeral home but nothing has ever surfaced that it was haunted by anyone who has been in the home previous or after, as right now someone else owns the home a Susan Trotta-Smith, and she is tired of the people that have found the home address on Google and such and invading their privacy. That the home for 10 years she has lived in it has not been haunted and never was haunted.
The author of the now not in circulation book In a Dark Place by Ray Garton stated he made the book when he was at the lowest of lows in his life.
That he never got to meet the boy with cancer. He was never allowed into the home and when he got the notes from Ed and Lorraine Warren they were so mixed up and jumbled that he was not sure how to put a book together for them to publish. When he called Ed Warren on this, this is what Mr. Warren told him:
They're crazy," he said. "All the people who come to us are crazy, that's why they come to us. Just use what you can and make the rest up. You write scary books, right? Well, make it up and make it scary. That's why we hired you."
Here is where I got this information from:

The only thing that I can tell you about the home is it is Southington, CT.
That I think is all anyone knows.
Also do keep in mind they don't mind photos taken of their home but they are very adamant about people in their yard and on their property and scaring the kids when they answer the door and ask is your home haunted, etc.. and they do and will call the police department if you invade their privacy. I do believe that since all this they have put up a privacy fence and no trespassing signs though.

The Haunting in Connecticut is (loosely) based on the purportedly true story of a family whose eldest son fell ill with cancer, causing them to move to a house in Connecticut that had at one point been a mortuary. There is a documentary by Discovery Channel called A Haunting in Connecticut that chronicles the story from the actual family's perspective.
