Everyone's acne must be treated individually. If you have not gotten good results from the acne products you have tried, consider seeing a dermatologist. Your dermatologist will decide which treatments are best for you.
The best remedy for pimples is basically just washing your face. You really only want to wash your face once or twice a day. When you have pimples DO NOT pick at them. It will only cause them to get worse and could potentially leave scars later in life. Your best bet for the remedy of pimples would be to get a nice oil free face wash. Clean & Clear makes a good one. Make sure the wash is for faces and that it actually is oil free. You should wash your face when your in the shower and also before you go to bed if you wear makeup. If you have persistantly bad acne you should see your doctor to get a perscription. Happy acne fighting!
Some of the causes of facial acne are hormones, stress and heredity. It is important to keep one's face clean and to use a gentle cleanser that does not cause skin irritation. Some over the counter drugs such as Clearasil and ProActive may be helpful for mild cases. For more severe cases it is best to consult a dermatologist as prescription medications may be needed.
There are many good treatments to help get rid of acne. Some of the more recommended treatments include the Proactiv line and antibiotics. One must be patient as acne is not a problem that goes away over night.
WHAT IS THE BEST REMEDY OR TREATMENT TO CURE ACNE?
Well, current scientific research shows that DIET is the 'cure' for acne.
Your diet is the trigger! Hence, your diet is the cure!
In my professional opinion, there is no best treatment 'product' for acne. Some (but not all) acne products can provide 'symptomatic' relief, or ease the symptoms, but they do not address the cause. In other words, like most allopathic approaches, this treats the symptoms but not the cause.
As stated above, scientific research reveals that to heal acne and stop acne from returning ("cure"), acne sufferers need to make specific dietary adjustments.
Here is a brief overview of main dietary changes required:
1. Avoid dairy produce (cheese, milk, cream, yogurt, and all products containing these things)
2. Avoid refined processed carbohydrates (and all products containing these things). If you are unsure what these foods are, here is a list: Refined Processed Carbohydrates.
3. Eat only natural foods (foods or ingredients that have not been tampered with in any way)
4. No additives of any type
5. Wherever possible eat organic foods
If you cannot afford to buy, or cannot always find, organic products, the two most essential points are first, strictly avoid all dairy, and products containing dairy, and second avoid refined processed carbohydrates.
In my professional opinion, the best book on the subject is The Dietary Cure for Acne, by Dr Loren Cordain (available at Amazon and other good book stores; alternatively borrow it from your public library). There are other diet/acne cure books available, but the Cordain book is the only one that I recommend.
Loren Cordain Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University. He has extensively researched the relationship between acne and diet, and other dietary related diseases. He is acknowledged as the world's foremost authority on the evolutionary basis of diet and disease, and he is the author of five bestselling books including The Dietary Cure for Acne, and The Paleo Diet,
A Paleolithic diet or Paleo diet, sometimes known as a Stone Age diet, has been used successfully in the treatment of insulin resistance, type 2 Diabetes, acne, Allergies, food intolerance, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), menopause symptoms, asthma, inflammation, Arthritis, joint pains, carbohydrate cravings, food addictions, binge eating, mood disorders, unwanted weight gain, obesity, and other health conditions.
If you have acne, be kind to yourself, borrow/buy The Dietary Cure for Acne, and read it thoroughly.
You don't have to suffer, simply make the dietary and lifestyle changes.
