∙ 16y agoFor plants to do photosynthesis. Without it all life on Earth would come to an end. There may be just a few organisms that do not rely on plants that might survive, but surely most of the Earth's population of living creatures would die.
If you are asking what is the best direct human use, then I would say active and passive heating/cooling systems in homes. And windmills generating electricity indirectly by solar energy that creates wind.
