I found this Chevrolet Nova SS on Dragtime.com

Notice the engine size. Says 706ci. That equals to 11,570cc in metric system. It's no surprise the car did a 6 second pass.
However, the biggest commonly used engine has got to be the 572ci Chevy big block. That volume in metric system is 9,373cc which is biggest than anything you could find in production.
The biggest engine in a production vehicle, I believe, has to be the 8.4 liter W16 in the Bugatti Veyron. Viper's 8.3 liter monstrous V10 follows shortly behind, and then there is the Chevy LS7 V8 with 7 liters of displacement, used in the Corvette Z06.
Hope this helps.
The largest gasoline engines, however, are not found in cars. To the best of my knowledge, the largest gasoline engine ever to be mass produced was the Pratt & Whitney Wasp Major, a 28-cylinder 4-row radial, at 4,362.5 cubic inches (71.49 liters) and over 4,000 horsepower. Four of them powered the B-50 bomber, C-97 Stratofreighter, and Boeing 377 Stratocruiser, six of them powered the B-36 bomber, and eight of them powered the Spruce Goose. If there are larger gasoline engines, they've gotta be boat engines.
The biggest engine GM makes for vehicles(gasoline) is the 572
a gasoline engine is an Internal combustion engine
The gasoline engine came first. The gasoline engine was invented and patented in 1823 with the first efficient gasoline engine developed in 1876. The diesel was invented in 1893 which was 70 years after the gasoline engine.
If you're asking what will happen if you put gasoline in a diesel engine, the engine will be destroyed if you run it on gasoline.
i am not sure but i think that it is the 8.1 liter gasoline engine that they put in the older avalanche it wasnt really powerfull but still sounded nice!
and internal combustion engine and a gasoline engine are the same thing.
That's an engine that burns gasoline, to produce motion. Many car engines use gasoline as fuel.
all engine using gasoline (whether regular or premium) as fuel is called gasoline engine. motorcycle engine. generetors, buses. are example of gasoline engine
NO, do not use diesel oil and a gasoline engine.
Diesel engines are more efficient than gasoline engines.
Gasoline engine is an internal combustion engine where a diesel is an internal compression engine. Gasoline is highly flammable and explodes when an electrical spark is applied to it where diesel explodes when it is put under pressure
Mix diesel in a gasoline engine and it will stall or run very poorly depending on how much you mixed in. Mix gasoline in a diesel engine and you will have engine damage.
