If you put your shifter in L you can choose the highest gear that your vehicle will go into out of 1, 2, 3, &4. It would be better if you could choose what gear you were in but all you can choose is the highest gear it will shift into.
it will affect (weaken) your transmission if you have an automatic tranny! but a manual tranny can handle it!
There are some automatic gear buttons. You can change them by pushing or pulling the handle of the gear forward or backward next to the correct button.
On the driver's side, you have to pull open the inside door handle, then press down the automatic lock button as the handle is pulled out.
about maybe 220ish or so for a base model. the only real way would be to shell out several grand to do a tranny swap or sell the car and buy a type s the 6 speed tranny can handle ALOT more power
no you cant because even if the tranny fits the bellhousing it is too weak to handle a v8 so just get an automatic tranny you can find them pretty cheap on some sites
if its an automatic then you fill it from the dipstick. It should have a red handle and be located on the drivers side of the vehicle. If it is manual you have to get under the car and there is a plug on the top of the tranny
There is a button on the left side of the gear shift shaft, just underneath the shift handle (automatic transmission). Push the button to toggle the overdrive on and off.
Yes, you can change the shifter handle. Remove the hairpin clip at the front side of the handle and lift the handle from the metal pipe.
On the single lever handle just unscrew it.
A button?
try pulling up on handle before pushing button. the button is a locking device, and needs the tension released Repeated pulling on the hand brake will slide the grip over the button. Try sliding the plastic/rubber grip down the handle to expose the button.
No, the door release button will not wear out quickly. The button is far more convenient compared to traditional pull handle model.
