Disconnect the 4 way plug at the distributor so as to put the computer offline. Set the timing to specs and then reconnect the 4 way plug.
yes
12 deg with the coolant sensor disconnected.
Should be on the front of the motor, probably on the Drivers side of the timing chain cover. Fuel filter should be at the carb.
I replaced the head gasket. How many pounds of pressure do I need to apply to the bolts on the head?
Pontiacs typically like 12-14 degrees initial timing. It's a good starting point.
10 deg. BTC if it an automatic and 6 Deg. BTC if manual trans.
Not sure which motor you have but none offered in the full size vans would have a belt. It would be a timing chain and they will usually last the life of a motor as they are internally lubricated by the engine oil of the motor. I have never heard of a broken timing chain under normal use. Usually they get stretched and can become noisy and/or jump a tooth and cause the motor to loose correct timing and run bad or not start.
what are the timing marks on a chev 305 motor for the year 1995.
You will need to remove the inside door panel of your Chevrolet El Camino. Remove the wiring harness from the window motor. Remove the window motor linkage. Remove the window motor retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new power window motor.
It depends on the motor..if you have overhead cam...then YES. The timing belt has to be removed when the water pump is changed and the cam sprockets have to be set to correct timing when the belt is replaced.
If it is backfiring the timing is set incorrectly or the spark plug wires are not connected in the correct order.
If your asking because you broke a timing belt and you've replaced it and its not running that well now. you didnt hurt your valves you just need to go over it and check to see if you have the valve timing correct. And to answer your question, it is not an interference motor
