To be honest, there are very few deer in the 2A section of PA. Proof of that is evident when I can sit in the woods for almost two weeks and see only one deer. Having a heart for the sport that I love, I let the doe that I seen pass so that it could have a chance to bring my spot more deer. Others won't let the doe pass them though so I probably wasted my time letting the doe pass but at least I tried. We hunters need to stop shooting doe so that we hunters can actually see some buck. Think about it, without the doe there will be no buck. Knowing that, the less doe there is then the less buck there will be.
Deer populations are regulated in Pennsylvania by limiting the number of kills a hunter can get during deer season. When the deer population become high, the state will allow for more kills during a single season.
Too many. The deer population is Virginia had reached an all time peak of more than 1 million. It is estimated at around 850,000 right now. This is too many deer for the environment to support in a healthy manner. The State Game Commission has been working to reduce the deer population.
