The basic answer is the standard features. The DX is the lowest version with limited standards. LX added things like delayed wipers, power door locks, air conditioning and cruise control. EX is the top of the line and includes all the features of the LX plus a sunroof and variable speed wipers.
The Civic Ex has Vtec while the Dx does not. Ex is 1.6 and the Dx is 1.5
yes
The Civic EX has far more standard equipment than the DX, and a different engine. Not to mention that all the moldings and mirrors are all painted to match the vehicle, and the dx engine is 1.6 Non VTEC (from 96-00, 1.5L non v-tec from 92-95). EX engines D16Y8= 1.6 VTEC to B16A2 1.6 DOHC VTEC. DX some come without power steering. The list just goes on. It all depends on the year of the honda.
No it will not, the dx did not come with the v-tec engine and the ex did. There are 2 different distributors used.
The Honda Civic DX, EX and LX are the type of variants available for the model. Each variants has a set number of options available. The DX is the common deluxe model, EX is the executive model and the LX is the luxury model.
It is just a model designation indicating the level of standard equipment. Honda uses DX, LX, & EX. DX is the base car and the cheapest.
