Remove the large plug on top of the oil filter cartridge with a large socket wrench. Pull up on the plug and the filter will come up with it. Replace the oil filter cartridge and put the oil cartridge back into the canister.

It is a cartridge type filter located in the front of the engine. You will need to remove the plastic cover underneath with the torque head screws. You will also need a 26 MM socket to access the filter.I found the black cartridge surrounding the filter under the fairing but HOW DO YOU TAKE THE BLACK CARTRIDGE OUT TO GET TO THE FILTER?With the socket, but in my case it was a 36mm or 1 7/8 socket to remove the canister cap.
