The difference between being a protestant and a being born again christain is protesant is a religion like roman catholic is just a religion but beinga born again i christain snt its a personal walk with gods lovely son who died for us at calvary who shed his blood to forgive our sins and that wasnt all he rose again and is one day returning for all who belong to him being a protestant wont get you into heaven but being a born again christain and loving and serving the lord will

∙ 14y agoA born again christian, in common usage, can be seen to be anyone who returns to the Christian faith after an extendedabsence or is converted. There is no denomination of 'born again'. The phrase is extensively used in Evangelical worship to denote spiritual rebirth, often associated with baptism, and whilst it is often associated with protestant services is technically nondenominational
Protestantism is a fully realised Christian theology, tracing its routes from 14th century Europe and becoming fully recognised in the reforms of the Catholic Church initiated by a man called Martin Luther. Protestantism encourages a personal relationship with God and The Bible, condemning much of the Catholic ritualistic practice as idolatrous
So to answer your question, yes, there are fundamental differences between being 'born again' and Protestantism. You could just as easily be a Born Again Catholic, but here the term loses some of its Evangelical flavor.
