The output downgrade is different for the front driveshaft. If you put a Cherokee transmission on a Stanford, the front driveshaft hits the skid plate. There are two ways to fix it. One, cut out the skid plate portion. Two, redrill the frontside output downgrade to raise up the driveshaft.
An XJ is a Cherokee, a TJ is a Wrangler.

i was wondering what the difference is between the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Rubicon A: Sahara is a wrangler trim package (it's the same vehicle) A:Rubicon is a wrangler with significant upgrades. air locking differentials, suspension lift, tires and wheels, etc.
Not much difference between the two, the year between them pretty much equals the difference out. If there is a difference in motors it may make a difference but I would say they are even.
The transmission oil line from a 1991 model of a Jeep Cherokee will fit a 1988 model of a Jeep Cherokee because the transmission oil line fits all Cherokee models that were made between 1987 and 1996.
