The cats respiratory system functions to cool them off, since they do not have sweat glands like humans. The other differences include the size of the system, length of the trachea, number if bronchioles and alveoli, and number of lobes in the lungs.

All cells require oxygen in order to survive. the brain especially dies when starved of O2. that is why when you are suffocated or drowned, you are starved of O2, therefore you expire. The only way to obtain O2 into the bloodstream is to breathe (inhale) it. By a number of processes, the O2 makes its way into the blood, oxygenating all the bodys cells, allowing them to grow & repair.

What is the difference between an aristocat and a commener cat?

There is no real difference. Cats are not self-aware enough in real life to understand "pedigree" or "social class"; these are concepts which the feline brain cannot understand. A human can treat a cat as being somehow superior to other cats, but the difference is purely in the human's mind, it makes no difference to the cat... except that a cat so treated is likely to become even fatter and lazier than is normal for pampered pets.
