Colonic irrigation is a procedure for removing waste and toxins from the bowel. It is also known as colonic hydrotherapy. It can remove traces of feces and other waste products and identify worms or parasites living in your gut, which proponents of this procedure believe can poison the body if allowed to remain. Colonic irrigation is offered as an alternative therapy and there is no real medical evidence to prove that it is effective.
