Simple answer is no. They use a completely different engine harness. It can be done, but you have to change all the wiring under the hood. The 3300 engine is probly the better engine, but the 3100 engine is a good motor, but are prone to more problems.
3300 refers to the total volume of the combustion chamber(s) being displace when the engine cycles through. They take the volume of each cylinder and add them up and get a total.3300 is the total number of cubic centimeters that is being displaced; in other words, the engine's displacement. It's equivalent to hearing some engine referred to as a "3.3 liter".

To replace spark plug wires on a 3300 Oldsmobile engine, open the hood and remove the wires from the end of the engine. The number of spark plug wires most often corresponds to the number of cylinders your engine has.
