According to the 1956 Thunderbird manual the 6 cyl. is a 223 cu. in THE firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4
Ford has never produced a 3.8 Liter (232 Cu. In.) straight (inline) 6 cylinder engine. The Ford 3.8 Liter is not a straight 6 but is instead a V6. The firing order for the 3.8 V6 is 1-4-2-5-3-6.
My Haynes manual says for the 1995 3.8L engine it's 1-4-2-5-3-6 HTH...thehick
