In the first line you say who you are or if the teacher is assigned to a specific project who that person is then you state the problem your second and third paragraphs are where you want to introduce ways that you’ve come up with to solve the problem final paragraph which would be the last one three or four depending on how long you want to write it and remember always double space it’s just a simple thank you then below that type in the name below your name sign it.

Are reference initials always typed on a business letter?

No, a reference line on a business letter is optional. The reference line is used when a specific piece of information is the subject of the letter, such as a contract, an account or invoice number, a particular product or service, etc. The reference line makes it easy for the recipient to find that piece of information for follow up without having to search through the letter to find it. A thank you letter or a general information or request letter does not require a reference line; the purpose of the letter is stated in the first sentence of the first paragraph of the letter.

Where is date and place in a letter?

If you are writing a business letter, your first heading should be in the upper right-hand corner, beginning with your name on the first line, your address on the next two lines, and after skipping one line, the date on the next line. Then, on the left hand side, skip one more line after you have completed the section with your information, you put the recipient's name on one line and the recipient's address on the next two lines. The same format generally works for personal letters as well.
