the crank sensor "tells" the computer what piston is at the "power stroke" and what coil to fire also the next cylinder that is going to need fuel.
How
The function of the knock sensor ob a sensor on a 1991 4.3 s10 is to provide the computer the position of the crank shaft to give it the right information to get correct timing. That would be the crank position sensor. The knock sensor monitors the engine for spark knock (ping) so the ECM (Engine Control Module) can retard the timing to eliminate it.
I can tell you what happened with my Buick. The crank sensor was bad. The engine would start when it was cold but not when the engine was hot. Warner athey The engine computer needs the crank sensor reading to start. Period. Why three periods? Question mark? If the crank sensor is bad that does not mean that it will not function at all. That means that it will not function properly. Even a broken watch will tell you time. It may even be the correct time.
It does not have a crank case sensor. It does not have a crank case sensor.
On a 94 Turbo DSM there is no crank angle sensor. The Cam Angle Sensor(CAS)serves the function of both a crank and cam sensor, and it's located on the passenger side of the valve cover at the end of the intake camshaft, you can't miss it.
A 1995 blazer does not have a crank sensor. SORRY
No, there is no fuse for the crank sensor
3.1L dont have a crank sensor
Avoid the crank sensor?
That year did not have a crank sensor.
NO. A crank sensor are cam sensor was not introduced until the year 1996.
if you have a code w/ cam to crank reference then yes. if only a crank sensor issue the no
A faulty crank sensor would cause none of the plugs and injectors to work. Without an input signal from the crank sensor the brain will not know how to time it's signals. Most are designed not to attempt to function without the sensors signal.
