What I do at the shop is fold abusiness card in half . Put it in between the Coil and Flywheel. Bring the magnet around to Coil and tighten screws down. Perfect gap!

The gap is somewhere around .002 in , but if you will take 2 matchbooks take off the covers and use them for spacers between the coil legs and the flywheel . Role the flywheel around till the magnet pulls the coil in . Place the matchbooks between the coil arms and the flywheel and tighten the screws . Check the spark plug and make sure you have good fire .
