Whole milk is 3.25% milk fat Compared to 2%, 1% or .5% (skim). When you drink 8 oz or 16 oz of milk those percentages seem very minimal. Fat is a necessary part of the Human diet. Fat helps your body absorb necessary vitamins. Humans have been around a long time and thrived before there was low fat anything. Saturated fat has never been proven to cause Heart disease.
