The 1974 models were 145 hp with a 2 bbl. and 165 with a 4 bbl. Pretty sure the '76 models were about the same. Not sure about the torque rating. New answer; On a 2 bbl. The advertised Torque is 250 ft. LBS @ 2200 RPM. On a 4 bbl. ................................... is 260 ft. LBS @ 2400 RPM
If it has 6 spark plugs, there is a 91% chance it is a 3.3 liter engine, 9% chance it is a 3.8 liter. Both have 2 bbl carbs. If it has 8 spark plugs there is a 99% chance it is a 305 2 bbl, 1% chance it is a 350 4 bbl.

The 1973 model 454 had---250 HP @ 4000 RPM with a 4- bbl carb
Maybe. That depends on the type of transmission in your car at the time. The 350 rocket that is in your car now most likely was mated to a TH-350 tranny that, according to popular belief, is not strong enough to hold up against the 455's greater torque. The Oldsmobile Cutlass 442, Club Sport, and Holiday Coupe models of the same year came with the 455 mated to a TH-400. That seems to be the way to go if you dont like the 350 rocket you have allready.
