timing problem?
It should be changed every 60,000 miles on all years 1988-94 with a timing belt. It is not an interference engine.
The best i have found is an owners manual. http://jdmfsm.info/Auto/Japan/Mazda/323/323F%20Mazda%20(89-94).pdf
You dont. The ignition timing is set by the PCM and is non-adjustable.
depends on if your taking about cam timing or ignition timing and what engine.gm Jim
Timing is handled by the computer, there is no adjustment needed.

If you are talking about ignition timing there are no marks. The timing is controlled by the computer according to various parmeters of sensors. If you are talking about valve timing the camshaft mark is on the head and the crankshaft mark is on the oil pump housing.
It measures the position of the crankshaft during it rotation and the engine computer uses that for ignition and fuel timing.
94/98 engine code KF every 54,000 miles 01/03 engine code FS 6,000 mile service intervals replace at 60,000 miles 9,000 mile service intervals replace at 54,000 miles. If in doubt replace sooner.
