depending on the model year and where at on the door(some model years have 2) the key slot(s) are for unlocking the door manually and locking out the trunk release.
IF YOU OPEN YOUR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AND LOOK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DASH YOU WILL SEE IT THERE. THERE IS A SLOT THAT IS SHAPED SO YOUR KEY OR A FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER CAN POP THE COVER OFF.
The radio amp on a 99 VW Jetta is located under the driver side dash. It is in the fuse number 42 slot.
YES YOUR FUSE BOX IS LOCATED WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR DRIVER SIDE DOOR ON THE SIDE DASHBORAD THE IS A SLOT LOOKING THING IF YOU LOOK AT THE SLOT IN SMALL LETTERS IT WILL SAY FUSE BOX STICK HAND IN SLOT AND PULL
It is on the left hand (drivers) side of the dash. Open the door so that you can see the side. Use a screw driver in the little slot to pry it open.
The fuse box is located on the drivers side. Open the door and it is to the side of the dash. You'll see a small slot to open the panel. There should also be a fuse puller. As to the outlay of the fuses, sorry I don't know. Anthony
Open the driver's door. The fuse "box" is actually a panel located on the left side of the dash board. You can only access it if the door is open. You will see a slot on the side, pull on it and the fuse box cover comes off.
Open driver's door. On the side of the dashboard there is a panel. Using a screwdriver in the slot, pry off panel cover and you will find fuse box and a fuse diagram.
Look at your drivers side end of the dashboard where it meets the door. There is a a plastic cover that is hidden by the door when it's closed. It has a slot where you can insert a flat blade screwdriver. Be careful as it is hinged and excess force will break them. The fuse map is in the inner face of the door and there you'll also find a tweezer that is used to remove the fuses.
The fuse panel is located on the driver's side farthest left side of the dash, against the door panel when that door is closed. The twist-to-open cover of the panel has a V-shaped top on it. There is a fuse puller inside, and the factory supplied at least one spare 10Amp fuse in the SPARE slot. If the SPARE is used, it is highly recommended that you re-stock that empty slot.
You will need a torx head screw driver and a Phillips screw driver, remove the screws around the closing handle and the opening handle, then gently pry at the bottom of the panel to pop the fasteners loose working your way up the sides, lift the panel out of the the window slot and over the door opening handle.
If you mean the thin slot on the driver's door, right where it meets the dash... That is a card holder. I believe it states per the manual, it holds credit-cards and such, for quick retrieval. I would not suggest it for permanent storage though.
open the driver side door, near the hinges there is a plastic piece with what looks like a slot in it, pull it out theres your box. or under ther hood next to the battery lable relays and fuses
