Direct Democracy = when the people directly run their own government. When the country wants to do something, the people get together and all decide what to do. This style of government only really works with very small countries, like ancient Greek city-states.
Republic = a form of government that is "by the people" (in fact, "Republic" comes from the Latin words res publica, meaning "the people's thing"). It is a government that is not ruled by a king or an emperor or some other kind of monarch. It's a very broad term and can include both free and unfree countries.
Monarchy = a form of government that is ruled by a "monarch". A monarch is usually a hereditary position like a king, queen, emperor, sultan, shah, etc, although sometimes they can be elected, like the Holy Roman Emperors or the pope. In a monarchy, the entire country is considered to be the personal property of the monarch himself. Some monarchies are absolute, where the monarch has total power to do whatever he wants; others are constitutional, meaning there are laws that control what the monarch can do. Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy, while many European countries like Belgium and the United Kingdom are constitutional monarchies.
Dictatorship = a form of government where one person rules, but it is not a monarchy (although it may resemble one). It is typically a republic that has been taken over by someone or by a single party represented by one leader, possibly by military means (as in Cuba or China) or by election (as in Nazi Germany). The dictator maintains power by means of government agencies, especially the military and police, and this is typically very oppressive.
It is a democracy.
