The vehicle will start in 1st gear and remain there. The transmission will not upshift to higher gears (2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.)
Mostly used for descending steep grades so engine can and will assist in braking giving the driver better control of the vehicle without overheating the brakes.
You wanna use 2 after you get up to speed. You know, on like, highways and stuff.
The gear between 2nd and 4th. On a 3 or 4 speed it would be direct drive. A 1:1 ratio
If you have a 450 sl badge on your car, you don't have a 5.4 liter car. You have a 4.5 liter car.. And no, you have a 3 speed automatic trans. I don't know what the final drive ratio is, but it's no where near a 1:1 ratio, or anything close to that.
you will s**t bricks!
My autopilot holds course within a half mile. That would be seriously dangerous if a car were 1/2 mile off of the road.
it is the last name of a person. it is not a car you drive in. that has 1 r this carr has 2 r's just like my last name.
1.press brake 2. put car in "D" 3. Drive
Park (P)Reverse (R)Neutral/No gear (N)Drive (D)OverDrive ([D], OD, or a boxed D)Second (2 or S)First (1 or L)
Drive 1 locks the automatic transmission into first gear (preventing an upshift). Very good to use when parked or stopped on a very steep slope and you need to move forward and do not want the transmission to shift. Drive 2 locks the automatic transmission into second gear. This is sometimes referred to as a "snow" drive position, as it causes the engine power to be applied to the wheels much more slowly (via converter slippage within the transmission) minimizing actual wheel-spin when accelerating from a stopped position.
The gears are always being used in an automatic car, if you are asking about the 1 and the 2 on the shifter, i dont know what those are for, you can use them to slow down if your brakes go out.
1) Is it a standard transmission or automatic engine? 2) Front wheel drive or rear wheel drive? If it is a standard transmission, you wont have a dip stick. if it is an automatic front wheel drive, it'll be on driver's side front.
P - Parking R - Reverse N - Neutral D - Drive 2 - High Drive With Gear 2 L or 1 - Low Drive
