The benign tumor that causes this is called prolactinoma. It causes something called galactorrhea abnormal milk production, can cause abscence of menstrual periods and infertility in women. In men , it can cause impotence, infertility, feminization, and galactorrhea. Note anti depressants can also cause production of prolactin

Prolactinoma
Overproduction of prolactin from a pituitary tumor (prolactinoma) can cause a decrease in normal levels of sex hormones: estrogen in women and testosterone in men. Excessive prolactin in the blood affects men and women differently.
This type of Proliferative tumor would cause the anterior pituitary gland to produce too much TSH. Resulting in the Thyroid gland to become inlarged, also known as Hyperthyroidism.
The effect that prolactin has on a pregnant woman is that it stimulates the mammary glands to produce milk.
the pituitary gland comprising both anterior and posterior pituitarys produces 11 hormones termed as pituitary hormones.anterior pituitary produces: groeth hormone, thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH),long acting thyroid stimulator(LATS), exophthalmus producing substance(EPS),adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH), follicular stimulating hormone(FSH), leutinising hormone(LH), prolactin(lactogenic). posterior pituitary produces:anti-diuretic hormone(vasopressin), oxytocin. intermediate pituitary hormone:melanocyte stimulating hormone(MSH).
Pituitary is not supposed to be the part of the brain. It lies in pituitary fossa. It is connected to the brain via small stalk. It produce large number of hormones.
Prolactin is the hormone secreted by the pituitary gland that controls milk production. Therefore it is elevated in pregnant and nursing women. It can also become elevated by taking certain medications such as Risperdal. When prolactin is being produced at a high enough level menstruation stops.Too much production of prolactin can cause a condition called prolactinemia which can produce small benign tumors in the pituitary known as prolactinoma. These tumors usually go unnoticed, but if they grow too large they can press against the optical nerve reducing vision. It's noticed most often by loss of peripheral vision. The tumors are found by MRI scans.
growth hormone, Thyroxine releasing hormone, gonadotrophins - FSH and LH, prolactin
The most common is a pituitary adenoma. This tumor can produce high levels of the hormone prolactin. They are fairly common, but rarely require surgery. They are actually found in about 15% of all autopsies..Common presentation in women is lack of menses or periods.Prolactinoma.Pituitary adenoma is a benign tumor of the pituitary.
Prolactin PROmotes LACTation i.e. it makes breasts produce milk.
This type of Proliferative tumor would cause the anterior pituitary gland to produce too much TSH. Resulting in the Thyroid gland to become inlarged, also known as Hyperthyroidism.
GH and prolactin
hormone that stimulates milk production and the secretion of progesterone in mammals; hormone which stimulates secretion from the crop gland in birds. prolactin gonadotropic hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary; in females it stimulates growth of the mammary glands and lactation after parturition [syn: lactogenic hormone, luteotropin].
The effect that prolactin has on a pregnant woman is that it stimulates the mammary glands to produce milk.
Oxytocin and Antidiuretic Hormone (vasopressin) are made in the hypothalamus but released from the posterior pituitary gland. Lutinising hormone, Folicle stimulating hormone, Thyroid stimulating hormone, Growth Hormone, Adreno-corticotropic hormone and prolactin are all made and secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. Oxytocin-releases milk from breast and maintains contractions in labour. Antidiuretic hormone- reduces the amount of water lost in urine LH+FSH- Sex hormones involved in menstral cycle and testosterone/oestrogen production. TSH - tells the thyroid to make more thyroxine- increases metabolism Growth hormone- Increases uptake of amino acids into cells, promotes growth via Insulin like growth factors. Prolactin makes the breasts produce milk.

Perhaps there are many possible factors such as:1. GROWTH HORMONES (GH) or somatotrophin and chicken prolactin/ovine prolactin administered by the poultry manufacturing industry in chickens, subsequently affects the pituitary gland to produce breast milk hormones (the fact that I've changed my diet from an Organic Raw Vegetarian to Semi Vegetarian which includes fish and poultry of non organic producers) which increase breast size in humans this would be chicken prolactin which increases the size of chickens and 'fattens' the chickens; (check out: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5053391.html)2. GLAND STIMULATION from SUCKING THE BREASTSduring love making. The blood flow stimulates the glands of the breasts.;3. ENLARGED PITUITARY CONDITION -- The pituitary gland in addition to producing other hormones for glands like the adrenals (ACTH), growth hormones (GH), thryoid (TSH), follicles for hair (FSH), to name a few, also produces the prolactin hormone (PRL) for breast milk growth. An imbalance can cause a tumor in the Pituitary Gland called hyperprolactinaemia.4. MEDICATIONS such as metoclopramide or thioridazine cause increased levels of the prolactin hormone;5. DUCT ECTASIA in older women can increase milk secretion in the breasts.
