Born on January 15th, 1929, Martin Luther King helped to put an end to racism, which, in his time, there was a alarming amount of it. He was African-American and just because their skin color, the blacks got treated unfairly and cruelly. He led protests and made speeches wherever and whenever he could because he wanted to stop all this racism. If it were not for him, we might even have more or the same amount of racism now days! King also won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, 3 years before he died. Martin Luther King was assassinated during a protest in Alabama on April 4th 1967-sadly-and so he didn't live to see the impact on the people and what he had achieved.
