Sorry, I'm not certain of the part number, but from my own experience, it is much cheaper and easier to go to an auto wrecker, and remove the harness piece you need from another Caravan. Then simply connect the wires to your own harness using ordinary crimp type butt-connectors. The expensive harness replacement kit that Dodge wanted to sell me some years ago was not an exact fit, just a bunch of generic wires and connectors that you have to muck around with.
Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector to unlock the connector latch . Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the connector from the resistor. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor block to the HVAC housing. Remove the resistor block from the HVAC housing............
The front blower resistor on a 98 Dodge Caravan is replaced by removing the cover and disconnecting the wiring harness. The resistor can then be pulled and a new one put in its place.
The blower motor resistor is above the passenger side close-out panel, below the glove compartment and towards the firewall. There will be a wiring harness leading from it to the blower motor and another harness leading into it. The harness leading into it will have a 4-wire connector and the harness leading to the blower motor will have a 2-wire connector.
Under the hood. In the blower motor harness connector.
Locate the resistor under the dash attached on the blower motor housing. Disconnect the wire harness connector. Remove the resistor and install a new one.
Blower Motor Resistor: Testing and Inspection Warning: On vehicles equipped with air bags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (Ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only way to disable the air bag system. Failure to take the proper pre-cautions could result in accidental air bag deployment and possible personal injury. For circuit descriptions and diagrams, refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, further details on wire harness routing and retention, as well as pin-out and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds. 1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. 2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel. 3. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor block. 4. Check for continuity between each of the blower motor switch input terminals of the resistor and the resistor output terminal. In each case there should be continuity. If OK, repair the wire harness circuits between the blower motor switch and the blower motor resistor, blower motor or blower motor relay as required. If not OK, replace the faulty blower motor resitor block. How to replace the blower motor resistor block: Caution: Stay clear of the blower motor and resistor block (Hot). Do not operate the blower motor with the resistor block removed. 1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. 2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel. 3. Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector to unlock the connector latch. 4. Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the connector from the resistor. 5. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor block to the HVAC housing. 6. Remove the resistor block from the HVAC housing. Installation: 1. Position the blower motor resistor block into the HVAC housing. 2. Install the two screws that secure the resistor block to the HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) 3. Connect the wire harness connector to the resistor block. 4. Push in the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connecgtor to lock the connector latch. 5. Install the glove box. 6. Reconnect the battery negative cable. 7. Have a nice day!
This should be done by depressing the lock tabs holding the connector halves together and simply disconnect the door harness from the body harness. Good Luck!
yes there is!!
Go to Wal Mart or Autozone and buy the harness adapter kit. Wire the connector to your stereo, and then plug the connector in the factory stereo harness and you are done. Easiest and cleanest way to install aftermarket stereos. Cost less than $20. or........ go to www.12volt.com.....right there hey have the wiring diagrams for almost n e thing
On a 1995 Ford Econoline E350, the resistor is located to the right of the blower motor in the engine compartment. It is the second plug attached to the blower motor wiring harness. It has two screws and a white connector compared to the black one for the blower motor.
just behind the blower motor under the passenger side dash is a plug (with a large white plastic wiring connector) that is the resistor. two screws (7/32?) hold it in place as well as a small spring clip holding the wiring in place. just remove the two screws and pull out. To remove the resistor block from the wiring harness, squeeze in on the two tabs at the wiring end of the white harness. xterraparts.com has them for about $19.
The harness for the transmission speed sensors is on the transmission.
