The price around $250 for males and $300 for females. As long as they have seen the vet and got their first round of shots. They should be no younger than 13 weeks old.

Answer

The price for a puppy should not be gender-based. It is based on the quality of the litter, and how much work the breeder has put into it. If you are paying for a top-quality puppy out of parents who have been extensively shown, titled and health-tested, all that stuff costs money, so expect to pay more. Most breeders will charge you less for a pet-quality puppy, but require you to spay/neuter it.

Short answer from me would be that a show-quality puppy is going to cost anywhere from $500 to $1000. Pet-quality pups from a decent breeder will likely be less. Backyard-bred dogs are much cheaper, going as low as $50, or sometimes even as a trade agreement. Bottom line is the price should reflect the amount of work that went into breeding the litter.

It depends on what your looking for. Have a friend that has a pitbull for $50,000. Its name is Bombs Over Baghdad, check her out at www.rocksolidpits.com, or i just saw a pitbull for free in my local paper today.

Just wanted to add that humane societies and animal care and control centers are filled with almost all pit bulls or pit bull mixes. If you're looking for a pit bull, those are great places to look because you would be saving one's life and they are only about $60-$70. If you want a purebred, you could also go to a rescue.
What you need to do is to find kennels in your neighborhood. This way you will learn the values and bloodlines. In your internet search engine type pitbulls/kennels/your state, and the result page will bring lots of kennels for you to call.

There are SOOO many GREAT pit bulls @ humane societies and animal care and control centers where it's a life or death situation for them to be adopted. And, they're only about $60 which is MUCH less than if you went to a breeder.

I just bought an 8-week-old Bully Syle male for $450 in Baltimore MD. Full papers, all basic shots.

Picks of the litter will usually run you more like $5-600.

And many breeders will lower the price for older dogs - the one I went to had a 1-year old female down to $150.
