DIY takes a LOT of time (I've done this) because there's a lot paneling to remove (do so gently to prevent stripping screws, plastic incerts, and breaking clips.) Because it is part of the integrated instrument panel (warning lights, speedo, et c.), you're probably better off replacing the whole piece. You could try stripping it off a junked Jeep (perfect way to learn how to take the dash apart to reach the cluster), or buy it from an auto parts store (Part # dependent on model). However, you can service it yourself. For full instructions, see the factory service manual, go to GreatLakesXJ.com/tech.html and download it. Please be sure to donate so they may maintain the documents on line. Most of the info you need is on pages 1002-3 and 1025-8. The parts catalog on the same page will provide the part numbers for the bulbs.
