If you check in the Driver's door, there is a sticker that tells you the appropiate tire pressure, normally is 33 PSI Of course, this only applies if you still have the original manufacturer tires that came with the Jeep. If not, then look up the tire manufacturer (and exact tire) on the internet or see a local dealer to obtain the correct tire pressure for your tire and vehicle. How about just reading the side of the tire? That usually works for me.
The door sticker is correct, it doesn't matter if you change tires. That pressure is determined by the weight of the vehicle and other factors. If the size is the same no matter what brand tire you put on 33 psi is your recommended psi. THE PSI ON THE TIRE IS MAX PSI, NOT RECOMMENDED. Max does not mean recommended. The tire manufacturer has NO IDEA what vehicle it's tires end up on so how could they possibly recommend a psi on the tire for your specific car?
