The book says ATF which is automatic transmision fluid.
Fluid type: Volvo power steering fluid or equivalent.
Read the owners manual. It has that information.
You will find the the right one in ur owner Manuel, mine is Volvo s80 and the recommended fluid was not power steering oil it was ATF automatic transmission fluid, when I asked about that at orally they said if u use power steering fluid it will rewind ur power steering system.
you use what is recommended for it. actually power steering fluid is power steering fluid just with different levels of quality. if it's not in the manual, use lucas power steering fluid. dont use any power steerinf fluid stop leak.
The power steering fluid recommended is Mopar

if it is recommended for that type.check owners manual or call a parts place to be sure.
To change the Ford Escape power steering fluid, drain any fluid from the reservoir by pulling out the stopper. One can flush the old fluid out of the system. Replace the stopper and add the amount of fluid recommended by the owners' manual.
The manual for my '95 240SX SE states: "The recommended fluid is type DEXRON II or equivalent." I have had trouble finding this type of power steering fluid. I *think* that is because it's actually an automatic transmission fluid.
