P205/70R15 comes standard on the LS model for that year. P225/60VR16 is standard on the XR7.
are the tires the right size, and all the same size, how many did you replace, is it AWD, are they inflated correctly, did you break a sensor taking off or putting on the tires
It depends on which model 1999 Grand Am you have which you failed to list. The correct size is listed on the drivers door post and in your owners manual. Anyplace that sells tires can tell you the correct size to install. You can also find the correct size by clicking the link I will post.
front tires are 11x4.00-5, and rear tires are 16x6.5-8. I just replaced mine so I know the information is correct. Hope this helps.
The size that fits your wheel nuts. -There are only 4 basic sizes, it can't be that difficult to figure out !
yes u can its still a 18 inch tyre it will be slightly narrower the correct size would be 235/55R18 but it would still fit.

On a 2000 Mercury Cougar : Open the drivers door , and on the end of the door ( or the latch pillar ) you will see an information sticker . One of the things it shows is the original size of tires on the vehicle from the factory
it depends on what size tires and then it also depends on where you buy them at. wal mart would be your cheapest bet
