The vet will try antibiotics first (usually TRIMETHOPRIM/SULFA) and if Tonsillitis reoccurs then the vet will remove them from the cat. WARNING: When your pet is on medication be sure you are around in case your pet has an allergic reaction to the medication. I don't give my pets any medication unless I am home and I keep a keen eye on them.
