Same as a regular toilet.
It could be a pipe is banging up against a joist or wall. Also, I watched AskThisOldHouse, and they repaired a pressure-assisted toilet that made a loud hammering sound whenever there was a change in water pressure such as using the sink. A pressure-assited toilet has a large gizmo in the tank. I don't know if it relates to your problem. I searched their website and found the video: http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/video/0,,1631526,00.html
Someone hooked up the hot water supply to the toilet instead of the cold water supply- or your water heater is back drawing hot water through to the toilet from a cold water inlet (supply)
Run a new cold supply line from the source. This will drain less pressure from the the cold shower line.
Shut the water supply off to the toilet. Flush the toilet. Pull the old flapper out and replace it with the same type. Turn the water back on and test the toilet.
No.
1.5 Inch
Low water pressure or cold water main undersized.
Install air bladder.
Sound like you have a clogged toilet and or a clog in your main drain under your toilet. Shut off water supply to toilet remove water from toilet tank. Puchase a wax ring for your toilet prior to disconnecting toilet from supply line and floor bolt on the right and left of your toilet. Remove toilet from floor if water is standing in pipe under where toilet was this is where your problem lies. If no water or clog present, turn toilet on side and lokk in hole at the bottomof toilet. Clear was is stuck in toilet clean off old wax ring install new one and put toilet back together.
Depends on what type of toilet your talking about Gravity, pressure assisted, tank and bowl , flushometer?the water level goes up and makes the water go down the siphon and in to the pluming
The water did not cause the explosion it was from the pressure assist that caused the toilet to explode because of a hair line crack
Yes, as long as your water pressure is good, no reason why not.
