Usually a sighn of bad alternator.
Have engine computer tested
if no warning and it just shuts down but dash lights and radio light up check ignition switch
Starting the engine uses the battery to turn the engine over. Because turning over the engine requires a LOT of electrical power, the car automatically shuts off any electrical devices that are powered on, so it has more electricity to use.
If you are driving in the daytime, your car will loose power and then turn off. If you try to start it, it will not even crank. That's because once the alternator broke down, the engine was now using the power of the battery to run. And since the battery is not getting charged by the alternator, then the battery runs out of power and everything electrical in the car shuts down. If you are driving at night, your head lights will dim a lot and then your car shuts down. Try to start it and it won't even crank.
Had same problem on my 03. Replaced the fuel and air filter and had plugs replaced. Ran like new after. Dont know which its was but a place to start.
First guess would be the pick up coil in the distributor
time for a major tune up
When alot of engine power is needed, the A/C compressor will be shut off to reduce engine load.
it could be the main assembly relay under the drivers kickpanel
when the sterring wheel is turned sharply to park, the engine shuts off
Have your electrical wiring checked out, it is shorting out that causes the radio to shut off and the engine to stall. Start from the radio wiring.....Hope this will help..
fuel pumps about to go out -or more likely your electronic control module is failing.
