my 97 limited did this in the "auto" mode -- ended up replacing the headlight switch Is the security light also flashing on the dash? There is extensive info on www.jeepforum.com on how to disable and fix the security system. If memory serves, there is a sensor in the door that must be activated when unlocking or the security system will not be turned off and the lights will begin flashing. Is your battery OK? When mine ran down, and I tried to start my Jeep, it triggered the security system as well.
faulty wiring or you are accidentally hitting the switch and not realizing it
The Kia Sorrento instrument panel lights go on and off with the headlights. The headlights go on with an automatic daylight sensor.
Most headlight circuit breakers are located in the headlight switches. Headlights are on a circuit breaker automatic reset so headlights don't go out if there is a problem and will blink on and off to get you off the road safely until you can fix the problem. Look for a short in the wiring between the headlight switch and the headlights themselves.
You have to go to the dealer and ask them to turn them off, otherwise they leave them on as running headlights. They will do this for free.
go to halfords and get ripped off

the 4way mutil.switch. Headlights. turn sig. wiper washer. I was not the lcm.
WIRINGS!!
turn the dimmer up.
i would assume you need to turn your headlights off as they are the most common reason for the beeping after you turn off the car. My headlights are off and the car is still beeping
It may be wired wrong.
You can with some vehicles. Consult the drivers manual.
