If the climate control on a 2003 Trailblazer will not switch from feet to head vents, try changing it to defroster then back to head. The mode button on the dual climate control model can only be switched from face/feet to feet and then to defrost. The feet and head vents worked at the same time.
Mode switch is for the climate control. It allows you to direct the airflow from your feet, to the dash vents, defrost etc.
If the air vents of the Chevy trailblazer 2004 are not blowing air, have the fuel pump checked.

The climate control is not operating for the passenger side. Check to insure the physical controls work, and the diverter vents are opening to let the cool air to the passenger side.
To remove center air vent s a t20 tool is needed. Unscrew, climate control unit and compartment. After it is pulled away, their vents are exposed. To remove air vents unscrew bolts and pop out of place.

Check your climate control switches, and vaccuum lines. If you have electronic climate control, you probably need to have it serviced. Quite often in Grand Am's 91-2002 have had minor problems with weak linkages within the housing and routing of the climate control rod's and lines.
If the car had traction control, it should turn on everytime you turn the car on. Then there is a switch you can press to turn it off. The location of the switch is dependent on the model year, 99-02 its in the center near the air vents
