remember depending on what state you live in, charge-offs can be brought to court by an attorney or original creditor within limits of statue of limitations law in your state. eg. Texas is 4 years, Ohio is 14. if you let it go then they would most likely do an asset investigation to try and attach some dollar amount to law-suit. if they do not sue which they probably won't, you will have to wait for 7 years to have information come off you credit report. don't pay anything again on the charge offs b\c if you do then your 7 years will start all over again. you can't improve your FICO score which is a cumulation of all three credit bureau scores- original score names for each bureau is as follows: equifax is beacon, transunion is empirica, and experian is called risk model. add the three up and you have fico score. go to fico.com and do a simulation of your credit score and how it will be affected by different scenarios.
