The purpose of a pulley is that it can lift heavier things at a quicker pace. Some examples of a pulley is a ski lift and alot of Roller Coasters have them also.
I hope i have helped at least a little bit!!! (:
i really dk
they can be used to decrease the force needed to lift the loads , as if u have to lift a weight of 50 N and u used a robe hanged on a single pulley , u will have to exert a force of 50 N, while if the rope was hanged on 2 successive pulleys , u will act by a force of 25 N and consequently if u have 3 pulleys u will act by a force of (50/3)N and so on.....
Pulley is a disc like mechanical component which has groove on its periphery. The shape of groove depends upon the shape of belt which have to be used.
these pulley and belt assembly are used in power transmission when the distance of transmission is quite greater and where gear transmission (gear train due to longer distance) can not be used.
generally "V" shaped (trapezoidal cross section) belt is prefer to avoid slip between pulley and belt.
The movable pulley performs the function of acting as a sort of second class lever.
The pulley turns the belt that goes around it to turn another pulley that might turn the water pump, or alt. or a/c.
The largest pulley in the world is actually used in a giant moose statue in Toronto, Canada.
No, a pulley redistributes the work making it easier but at the end of the pull it will be the same amount of work.
A fixed pulley is the only pulley that when used individually, uses more effort than the load to lift the load from the ground. The fixed pulley when attached to an unmovable object e.g. a ceiling or wall, acts as a first class lever with the fulcrum being located at the axis but with a minor change, the bar becomes a rope. The advantage of the fixed pulley is that you do not have to pull or push the pulley up and down. The disadvantage is that you have to apply more effort than the load
A single sheeve pully has only one wheel a multiple sheeve pully has more than one wheel.
A fixed pulley is a pulley that is attached to a structure and does not move;changes the direction of the effort force used to life a load by a person or a spring scale and if you use a spring scale then you will need a person to pull the spring scale done to see how far she/he pull it A moveable pulley is a pulley that supports the load and is not fixed in place;reduces the amount of effort force needed to pull to lift the load when she/he pulls the spring scale then it will tell she/he pulls it.
A crank pulley also known as a crankshaft pulley is an essential part of a car. It transmits the mechanical power and torque, or the force of motion, through the pulley system to additional car elements.
The idler pulley has nothing to do with the brakes. If the idler pulley is bad it could throw or break a belt, and then your engine will stop.
Which pulley are you referring to. There is 5 or 6 on that car.
It has the car belt wrapped around it, on the end of the car shaft.
Look on your car's engine.

A pulley can be seen in the Gym. A pulley can be seen on the well - which is used to draw water. A pulley can sometimes be seen on the elevator, which is used to pull the car.
The pulley on a mouse trap car acts as an extender (rods balloons etc.) , allowing the force of the pull to be stronger than one without a pulley based on it's positioning. There are 4 ways to use a pulley with a mouse trap car:1) Leverage2) Temperance3) Steering4) BalanceThere are also different types of pulleys to use on a mousetrap car.
Disconnect the battery.remove the serpentine belt.Unbolt the pulley.
To remove a crank shaft pulley you need to first jack up the car. Next, remove the bold holding the crack shaft pulley in place and remove the unit. Reverse direction to put the new crank shaft pulley on your car.
