What kind of gasket do you need to put an edelbrock aluminum intake manifold on a ford 351modified?

What will a precision manifold kit do for an oil leak at the intake manifold on a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9L truck?
That depends on what you consider a "precision manifold kit". There are several good kits that include a solid aluminum replacement for the stock "keg manifold" lower. The stock piece is stamped steel and the main cause of these leaks. The upper aluminum manifold and the lower sheet steel expand and contract at differing rates causing gasket failure. If the lower is replaced with an aluminum piece and a quality gasket, or welded, the chances…
What type of gasket kit do you recommend using to repair intake manifold leak on 2000 dodge ram 1500 truck 5.9L engine?
The best way to repair that known and common defect is to replace the thin steel pan with a billet aluminum piece and a quality gasket or welded to the upper manifold. Replacing this gasket per the factory service manifold is a very temporary fix and WILL fail again. Check DodgeTrucks.org for additional info, photos, and how tos.
1988 Pontiac trans am with the 5.7 tpi in it when you get on the gas kinda hard it does an intake popping what could be causing this?
Bad echaust manifold or header gasket. Or loose header or manifold gasket.. if its just a loose bolt the gasket will eventually crack or break from pressure.the popping sound is high pressure leaking past the gasket Bad echaust manifold or header gasket. Replace the manifold gaskets. Word to the Wise: It would help to know what caused the leak. Bolts not tightened in correct pattern or torque, or just old age? Also, if manifold is aluminum, don't gouge the gasket mounting surfaces, only smooth w/ the yellow fingers tool you can get from SnapOn, or use fine sandpaper and a sanding block. Don't polish the surfaces either, or the gasket will slip or blow out.
You have to replace the gasket because when you take the manifold off it brakes the seel and air will be sucked into the manifold and your vehicle will hardly run, and you wont be able to drive it You have to replace the gasket because when you take the manifold off it brakes the seel and air will be sucked into the manifold and your vehicle will hardly run, and you wont be able…
A manifold leak is usually in reference to a failure of the intake manifold gasket. It can leak air, oil or coolant. It can leak to the outside of the engine or internally into the engine. A manifold leak may also refer to the Exhaust manifold that is leaking exhaust fumes from a bad gasket or a crack in the manifold.
there is no gasket on the exhaust manifold. i have a 93 escort lx wagon and i have a leak somewhere and i looked at the exhaust diagram at my local napa and it doesnt show a gasket. * Not sure which diagram you were looking at but there is DEFINITELY a gasket... Look up exhaust manifold on any popular car site and you will clearly see one.
It should take about an hour to change the intake manifold gasket. This part can be replaced by taking off the intake manifold cover, cleaning the old gasket off and sealing a new gasket in the space and tightening the bolts. When other things are in the way, like the alternator, it will take longer.
