Could be your steering fluid is low? My 1982 GMC pickup truck makes a noise when my steering wheel fluid gets low.

near the power steering fluid holder.. its a round discy lookin thing with a couple of pipes attached to it..
== == Find the power steering pump. The fluid goes in the top of the pump. Look for a twist off cap that has a measuring stick attached to the under side, when you take it off. Make sure you use the correct type of fuild for YOUR kind of vehicle. There are different types for different makes of vehicles. Don't OVERFILL the pump.

It should be on the power steering pump itself. If memory serves me correctly the pump is mounted on the right side of the engine in which case puts it next to the fire wall. This of course coming from a guy that suffers from C.R.S.
There are 3 bolts under the steering wheel that sometimes work loose, usually because of people grabbing steering wheel to pull themselves into truck. You will have to rent or buy a steering wheel puller & re-tighten the bolts that are under it.I would reccommend cleaning them & using locktight brand thread lock.
No, It is not even close.
check your clutch fluid level and your clutch slave cylinder for leaks,if both are ok,then you probly need a new clutch.
