The Medieval period allowed for the development of most of the modern nations of Europe we know today and its legacy in the fields of culture, art, literature, language, sport, and religion is enormous.
The Magna Carta (written in 1212) established that the king was not above the law, and this began to establish democracy as we know it.
Another major legacy of the Middle Ages was indeed the way Christianity spread like wildfire throughout Europe. Today, the majority of Europe are deeply Christian nations and this is because of the beliefs of their ancestors all those years ago.
The legacy that feudalism left in Europe was the Black Death. The Black Death killed more than 15 thousand people. It was caused by fleas jumping onto rats (the rats of coarse did not care or they weren't effected by them) then back then they didn't have beds so they slept on a pile of hay or on the floor and rats would probably also be sleeping right next to them and the fleas would jump on the humans and bite them. It got even more contagious when the doctors back then used knifes or needles and did not clean or sanitize them properly and would the needles or knifes on one person, then the next, then the next and so on.
England is still a monarchy, although the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, has only ceremonial functions. That is the most obvious medieval legacy. But in a broader sense, everything in the modern world evolved out of the medieval world. The whole world is a medieval legacy.
Saxon art, universities, metal work and stained glass are some of the cultural legacies of the middle ages.

Western Europe
The geography of Europe had very little to do with the development of feudalism except the fact that Europe had a lot of arable land. Most of the drivers to feudalism were the lack of powerful regional oversight and the need for landowners to actively secure their own holdings.
Feudalism was the grouping of legal and military customs in medieval Europe. The main elements of feudalism were strict social classes and landholding abilities.
Europe
Feudalism, in medieval Europe, was based on the exchange of land for military service.

The Forty-Niners, who participated in the California Gold Rush, had a lasting impact on the development of California as they helped to establish a diverse population and economy in the region. Their presence led to the rapid growth of cities like San Francisco and helped to shape the culture and industries of California. Additionally, the influx of immigrants during this time contributed to the state's long-term demographic diversity.
Feudalism is a term used for a set of political and military customs in medieval Europe that flourished between the ninth and fifteenth centuries. In the present day, and it has been so for many centuries, Europe does not have feudalism.
Feudalism was a social and political system, not a religion. It was characterized by a hierarchical structure where land was exchanged for loyalty and military service. There was no singular leader of feudalism as it varied by region and time period.

Answering "Do you think the western Europe model of feudalism is applicable to India?"
Charlemagne did not bring feudalism to Europe. He did bring a series of changes that improved feudal society at this time.
